Today the prospect of Parcells returning to New York has picked up steam, as most of the local papers are discussing the idea of Parcells joining the Jets in some sort of advising capacity. Newsday reports that team sources have indicated that the team would welcome Parcells as a consultant, though there have been no conversations to that effect at this time. Parcells coached the Jets from 1997 to 1999, and served in the front office for one year after that.
