Throw one more hat into the ring for potential solutions at running back for both the Giants and Jets. New England Patriots RB Corey Dillon has requested his release from the team according to his agent Steve Feldman via ESPN.com’s John Clayton.
In a recent report in The Boston Globe, Dillon had been contemplating retirement rather than returning to a reduced role with the Pats, where he saw only seven to ten carries a game last season while splitting duties with rookie Laurence Maroney. However according to Feldman, he plans on speaking to teams around the league about their interest in the veteran running back.
