UPDATE: The Jets surrendered their own first round pick (No. 25), their second round pick (No. 59 overall), and their fifth round pick (No. 164) in exchange for Carolina’s first rounder (No. 14) and sixth rounder (No. 191).

Gang Green has nabbed Pitt cornerback Darrelle Revis with the No. 14 pick, filling a huge hole in the secondary. Here’s what NFLDraftScout.com has to say about Revis:
Revis is not only a physical shutdown cornerback, but he also excels as a punt returner. The 2006 Jim Thorpe Award (nation’s top defensive back) semifinalist is a versatile defender, having made a successful move to right cornerback from the left side before his final senior season … Has exceptional body control and adequate open field quickness … Smart player who thinks well on his feet and can handle different assignments, making him more that capable to digest a complicated playbook … Instinctive athlete who makes quick reads and compensates for a lack of blazing speed with good timing and a feel to make plays on the ball in flight.
