The Jets have traded up in the draft yet again, swapping a 2nd-round pick (63rd overall), a 3rd-round pick, and a 6th-round pick in exchange for Green Bay’s 2nd-round pick (47th overall) and 7th-round pick.

Using the Packers’ No. 48 pick, the Jets selected Michigan inside linebacker David Harris, of whom The Daily NewsRich Cimini said last week:

“At 6-2, 243, he’s a pure inside ‘backer. He’s smart and tough, an outstanding run stuffer between the tackles. “There are no holes in his game,” one GM told me.”

NFLDraftScout.com says the following:

Tough and aggressive run defender who is at his best when playing at the line of scrimmage … Has just adequate change-of-direction agility (stiff hips), but somehow manages to flow to the ball and get into position to make the play … Maintains balance accelerating to close and has a good feel for blocking schemes … Makes all the defensive calls and is good at anticipating the flow of the play … Physical wrap-up tackler who hits with a thud to secure and take down the ball carrier.

According to thejetsblog.com, the Pats were also high on Harris.
