In today’s New York Post, Joel Sherman points to the promotion of Robinson Cano and Chien-Ming Wang and the contributions of Aaron Small and Shawn Chacon as key factors that turned the 2005 season around. In that vein, Sherman provides his list of five things the Yanks must do to save 2007:

1. Tell Phil Hughes he is here

2. Try harder to push Roger Clemens’ timetable

3. Read Carl Pavano the riot act

4. Put Johnny Damon on the DL

5. Let teams know Kyle Farnsworth and/or Mike Myers are available
