Searching for Bobby Abreu

Yankees Rumors & News

Via Newsday’s Anthony Rieber:

Joe Torre has moved Bobby Abreu from third to seventh to second in the batting order this week, but his rightfielder is still slumping. After yesterday’s 0-for-4 in the Yankees’ 14-2 loss to the Rangers, Abreu is down to .250….Abreu has only 13 hits in his last 75 at-bats, a .173 clip. His on-base percentage, always a strength for the patient hitter, is at .325. Last season he batted .330 for the Yankees with an on-base percentage of .419 after coming over from the Phillies on July 30.
