But, it's just as likely that the Rangers have been scouting the Yankees because of a possible trade sending Gagne or Otsuka to the Bronx. I don't think the Yankees have what it should (you never know with out idiot owner and in-over-his-29-year-old-head GM) take to get Tex now. But if it doesn't happen now, Boras will get Tex to the Bronx as a free agent in 2009. Word down here in Texas is that your owner and GM have a keen interest in Teixeira and are more than willing to pay what it will cost to have a (by-then) 28-year-old switch hitting, gold-glove first baseman who will consistently hit about .290 with 30 or so HR.
