Following the longest and hottest day of training camp the New York Jets were rewarded with the first day off from camp.

Head coach Eric Mangini canceled Friday’s scheduled 2 p.m. practice . The Jets will return to Hempstead for a 2 p.m. Saturday practice open to the public.

Parking at the Jets Games

Do you think the fans have figured out that unless they have a pre-paid reserved parking pass, they are going to be shuttled into the games? And even if they have a reserved parking pass they aren’t guaranteed to park in their usual lot or the same lot every game. By the time the new stadium opens, Xanadu might be better recognized with a swear word (starting with the letter F) in front of it.

Ironically, when you go onto the Jets stadium webpage and click on the “is parking available” icon, what comes up is a bunch of scrambled computer garble. That about sums up the parking situation this season for sure!
