“The Mets did not reach an agreement with Yorvit Torrealba,” Mets spokesman Jay Horwitz said, “and there are no current negotiations.”When reached on Saturday, Torrealba’s agent, Melvin Roman, would not give a reason and his only response was “no comment.”
What a disaster. I mean, I’m sure there are some fans happy at this development, as it seemed many wanted no part of the light-hitting Latino backstop. However the whole situation is strange, strange, strange, and only serves to raise further questions about the state of a franchise already in flux.
