Quite Frankly: Just Fire Isiah

Isiah Thomas is still the Knicks head coach and still their president. There’s a serious problem with that. The Knicks are 2-8 and on their way to another miserable season. We’ve already seen a sexual harrassment case against Thomas and Garden CEO James Dolan, a public war of words between Thomas and star point guard Stephon Marbury, Thomas throwing the team out of practice, and a team munity against Marbury. It’s time for someone to take responsibilty and say enough is enough.

When asked about his status with the team and the current state of the Knicks, Isiah responded, via Mitch Lawrence NY Daily News:

“I just don’t think that this is the time to panic, after 11games in the season…..This is not the time to just blow everything up and to say that the guys we’ve got here and the changes and the moves we made, after 11games, you judge it. That’s not the way this league goes.

Jefferson and company hold off Sonics late rally

Richard Jefferson had his second straight 30 point game and New Jersey needed every one of them last night. A double digit lead in the second half almost disappeared, as the Sonics (2-11) made a run late but were held off for a 98-93 Nets win.

Vince Carter back in second game since missing five games due to his ankle injury scored 15 off the bench. Jason Kidd added 14 points but Jefferson was the story. He also had 4 rebounds and 5 assists to go along with his 30 points. His season average of 24.5 points a game is his career best.
