Good friend of the blog and Ron Artest-lover Chris has a suggestion for the New York Knicks and New Jersey Nets — swap Jason Kidd and Stephon Marbury.

It will never happen, of course, but it’s a great idea. Why not? Getting swapped for Marbury is how Kidd got out of Phoenix and landed in the Jersey swamp to begin with, so it’s been done before.

Kidd says he’s not unhappy in New Jersey, but he’s not getting any younger and the Nets aren’t very good. You have to wonder. We know Marbury’s deal in New York. He and Isiah Thomas don’t get along, Starbury’s teammates aren’t too happy with him, either, and the team stinks.

So, what the hell. Make the move. We would probably get to watch Kidd, again, come in and clean up one of Starbury’s messes.

Besides, since both teams stink it would give fans in New York something to talk about other than sexual harassment suits and migraine headaches.

Of course. It is kind of fun to think about, though, isn’t it?
