For that rare Met fan that still holds a place in their heart for Tommy Glavine (or the wayward Braves fan who happens upon this blog), ESPN’s Jayson Stark profiles Mr. 300 on their MLB front page today. Big surprise: Tom’s happy to be home, and John Smoltz and Bobby Cox are happy to have him.
I’m telling you right now, I’ll be shocked if the Mets don’t knock this clown up and down Georgia in 2008. If you recall, it took years before Glavine pitched a competent game against his former club upon joining the Amazin’s. At age 41, I think it’s fair to say Glav’s pitching with “fool me once…” stuff.
