Some great news for Yankees legend Bobby Murcer today. As we mentioned last week, Murcer went in for a biopsy on a mass in his brain after an MRI revealed an “area that doctors [were] concerned about.”
The biopsy revealed scar tissue at the spot of Murcer’s December ‘06 brain surgery and showed no signs of cancer.
Great, great news.

bobby, so glad to hear you’re doing well! you and thurm are my favorites. grew up watching you with dad. was just wondering when you’ll be back in the booth? games are NOT the same without you. just like when scooter left. come back soon. god bless.
Bobby, I too had a GBM removed, January 16 2007. I doing fine, except that mine’s was on opposite side, effecting my speech and spelling.
Like you, I had a total resection, followed by 6 weeks of radiation. But there our treatment deviates. I’m taking Temodar. I believe you receive a experimental vaccine.
Best wishes.
