So evidently Hideki Matsui was married in a small private ceremony in New York yesterday. The announcement caught many of his teammates by surprise, particularly Bobby Abreu and Derek Jeter, who each had a bet with Godzilla over who would get married first. Said Jeter: “He what? Seriously?…How do you say ’sneaky’ in Japanese?”
But wait, it gets more bizarre. Matsui held a press conference today to announce the nuptials, refusing to identify his bride except to state that she “is a 25-year-old civilian and had formerly been working in a reputable position at a highly respected company. I cannot go into further details at this current time.”
Matsui, however, was willing to display a pencil sketch of the newly-annoited Mrs. Matsui. No, seriously. See below:

Don’t take this the wrong way, Japanese folks, but you guys are weird.
