According to Metblog.com the Mets 2nd baseman Luis Castillo, has left the home opener with right knee soreness.
Utility fielder Damion Easley has replaced Castillo at 2nd for the time being. I’m not sure why the Mets wouldn’t put in Ruben Gotay. Oh wait, nevermind.
