Thanks so much for the tip fan1.

Like it or not, A-Rod is the best player of his era, and one of the greats of all time. He is hardly a "waste of life."

So, you're dumb.

one word: Sponsorship. unfortnately you have to see into the business aspect as messed up as it is. you dont have regular local joe shmo bar-goers such as yourselves behind the scenes. its marketing exces and what it will take for them to make more money in order to spend it on wastes of life lik A-Rod. Hate to crush your boy who plays little league dreams but thats just the reality of the situation.

and there is nothing you can do about it ... you will never find the unity to overthrow the MLB or the channels that support them. its not about the people in the stands, its about the money in their pockets.

& enrico, dont assume the the "assertion" is "his" ...

I don't care to look up what makes more money for Fox, although I would bet that Gozer is right in his assertion and this country likes watching cars go around a track more than baseball.

I watched that game as well, and it was as if Fox, channeling the Destructer herself, said to the audience, Choose and Perish, and we chose Nascar, and it appeared before us like the MallowMan in all its bloated splendor.

Fan 1 you are a clown. The first lap of the left turn circuit vs the end of any game wins. If they had cut the last lap of the Neckcar for the first pitch of the game I would have been pissed too. Most fans like to see the end- thats why playoff games are better attended than Tuesday May games vs. Tampa Bay. What FOX did was inexcusable. I was sitting at the bar watching the game and my head almost exploded and I hate the Chouds and am disinterested at best in the Yanks. If we take this it only gets worse- The end of Game 7 for the start of American Kareoke er Idol. It never ends.

I know FOX doesnt actually control rain delays lol, it just seemed like it did. I also dont have an issue with Pabelbon pitching after he warmed up 3 times nor do i think he had an advantage, Im just saying I wish that particular at-bat took place before the rain delay bc it was a big moment in the game. I like when theres drama in a ballgame and I felt the rain delay took away alot of the juice, thats all.

I also think it was a poor decision on FOX's part to cut the game with ONE out to go. They coulve finished the at-bat at the very least and do what ESPN does and do a quick wrap-up/credits and send it to NASCAR but what we saw yesterday I think was crazy no matter what way you're looking at it

actually Nascar, even though I am not a fan, brings in more money to FOX than coverage of a RedSox/Yankee game. Do your homework before publishing your naive small minded Pro-Yankee comments. Fox made a smart business decision ... sorry to burst your Arod rules bubble

FOX does not control rain delays...and a reliever who has warmed up three times is not considered to have an advantage. buck and mccarver were even doubtful that he'd be able to pitch in the ninth, but he did.

I pulled my eyes out of their sockets when they went to Nascar. Something similar happened during the NHL playoffs a year or two ago when NBC left an overtime game for Nascar or something similarly ridiculous. Unfortunately, while people like you and I don't understand it, this backwards country is run by hicks who love their Nascar, and even in New York the popularity of the sport is growing.
