Colton Orr will replace Ryan Hollweg in the lineup tonight, says head coach Tom Renney. “It’s time,” said Renney, who believe Orr’s size will be an asset against a Pittsburgh team that is bigger than the Devils.
Is that even true? Mike Rupp and Colin White aren’t exactly pipsqueaks. Are we game-planning around Georges Laraque now?
In all seriousness, this is pretty inconsequential in my eyes. I’m a Hollweg fan, but there’s no doubt that the hard-hitting forward looks a bit worn down after a long NHL season. Perhaps that 5-11 frame is catching up with him.
Your primary concern with a move like this would be rust. Orr hasn’t played since March 27th after breaking a bone in his foot. The Rangers as a team haven’t played since last Friday, however, mitigating some of those concerns.
Of course, this is the fourth line we’re talking about…
Enough talk! Game on!

I can’t believe you just admitted that you are a Hollweg fan. I didn’t realize he had any. Seems like a do nothing forth liner to me.
well you’re a jagr groupie, so i’ll take it with a grain of salt…
touché. haha.
