i don't blame delgato.any decent loyal fan would not boo their team or teams players.i watched the yankees in the 80's when they were terrible and wanted them to get rid of many players but i didn't boo any of them.they are trying their best every at bat and booing won't change a thing and shows no class as a society.i am sick of hearing this is new york and thats the way it is.it doesn't have to be and it is wrong.delgato should have gone out to be humble and rise above the negativity of the fans but it is wrong for the fans to boo.santanna has a 3-2 record with a 3.12 era and a whip under 1.00 and he got booed.pitching doesn't get much better than that.take santanna away and the mets are finished easilly.go root for you're team the right way by supporting you're team and players without booing them.

Delgado was right. There was no reason to have a curtain call at that moment. Good for him.

Personally i didn't really care that he didn't go out. But as you know, their are tons of fickle fans out there who will not forgive Delgado for not going out. Hopefully not, but he may never hear the end of this.

hmmm...they're yelling about this on wfan right now. i kinda disagree. this situation somehow felt very different than the one with beltran. with beltran, it was more significant because he had six years ahead of him. with delgado, i don't really care. i was watching yesterday, i thought it was funny that he didn't go out. also, beltran looked angry and bitter when he refused his curtain call. delgado looked happy that he'd had a good day, and indifferent to the chants. i don't know, it just didn't bother me. and i accept his explanation.
