Here are the answers to yesterday’s quiz.

1. Jesse Orosco was the player to be named later when the Mets traded Jerry Koosman to Minnesota after the 1978 season.

2. In 1995, the Yankees traded Fernando Seguignol to Montreal for John Wetteland.

3. The Brooklyn Dodgers traded Jackie Robinson to the New York Giants for Dick Littlefield after the 1956 season but he retired instead.

4. After the 1969 season, Oakland traded Danny Cater and Ossie Chavarria to the Yankees for Frank Fernandez and pitcher Al Downing, who would go on to give up Hank Aaron’s 715th home run.

5. In May of 1963, the Mets traded Gil Hodges to the Washington Senators for Jimmy Piersall. Hodges was traded back to the Mets for Bill Denehy in November 1967.

6. The Yankees traded Kenny Rogers to Oakland for Scott Brosius after the 1997 season.

7. After the 1966 season, the Yankees traded Roger Maris to the St. Louis Cardinals for infielder Charley Smith.

8. In January 1969, Montreal traded Donn Clendenon and Jesus Alou to Houston for Rusty Staub. Clendenon refused to report (Montreal sent Jack Billingham and Skip Guinn instead), and five months later was traded to the Mets for Steve Renko, Kevin Collins, Bill Carden and Dave Colon. Alou and Staub would go on to play for the Mets.

9. In December 1988, the Mets traded Wally Backman and Mike Santiago to Minnesota for Jeff Bumgarner, Steve Gasser and Toby Nivens.

10. The New York Giants traded Frankie Frisch and Jimmy Ring to the St. Louis Cardinals for Rogers Hornsby in 1926.
