Keep Marbury????? You even say his personality outweighs his talents, but yet you still want to see if d'antoni's system can bring his career back? Let alone his system needs a past first point guard who can score when it matters, something marbury can't do. And his personality will bring down the other players the knicks are trying to develop. This guy is a cancer to a team and i agree with gozer get rid of him ASAP and don't even discuss keeping him

When I talked about trading him, I meant for returning expiring contracts. Maybe a team takes a flier on Starbury and the Knicks get to try out a couple of guys before they hit free agency next summer. Realistically, though, you either ride Stephon out for the year or buy him out.

It's going to be interesting watching D’Antoni and Starbury to say the least.

I don't understand - raise his trade value? why in the world would the knicks want to trade this guy? we need his money off the books. any trade involving marbury would simply bring more salary back to new york. and who cares if he excels in d'antoni's system? he won't be here beyond this season, so why delay the changing of the guard? donnie walsh is opening up the windows and letting in some fresh air. regardless, it's a moot point - the decision's been made. don't let the door hit you on the way out, steph.

I completely agree with you. The Knicks are rebuilding anyway, why not try to raise his trade value and see what you can get for him. It's not like keeping him will prevent some young point guard from developing.
