Here are the answers to yesterday’s quiz.

1. The Yankees traded Jose Contreras to the White Sox for Esteban Loaiza in 2004.

2. The Mets received Jeff Keppinger along with Kris Benson from Pittsburgh for Ty Wigginton, Jose Bautista and Matt Peterson.

3. In 1976, the Yankees purchased Vida Blue from Oakland, but Commissioner Bowie Kuhn voided the sale “in the best interests of baseball”―he wouldn’t allow A’s owner Charlie Finley to sell off all his good players before they left for free agency after the season.

4. The Mets received pitcher Pat Zachry, along with Steve Henderson, Doug Flynn and Dan Norman for Tom Seaver in 1977.

5. On the same day as the Seaver trade, the Mets sent shortstop Mike Phillips to the Cardinals for Joel Youngblood.

6. Ruben Sierra was traded by the A’s with Jason Berverlin in 1995 to the Yankees for Danny Tartabull. The following season Sierra was shipped off to Detroit with Matt Drews for Cecil Fielder.

7. In 1995, the Mets received Damon Buford along with Alex Ochoa from Baltimore for Bobby Bonilla.

8. The Yankees acquired catcher Cliff Johnson from the Astros for Randy Niemann, Mike Fischlin and Dave Bergman in 1977.

9. The Mets traded Rick Reed to Minnesota for Matt Lawton in 2001.

10. In 2003, the Yankees traded Robin Ventura for Scott Proctor and Bubba Crosby.
