Here are the answers to yesterday’s quiz.

1. The Yankees record in 1996 was 92-70.

2. Bernie Williams led the team in home runs with 29.

3. Tino Martinez led the team in RBIs with 117.

4. Ruben Sierra started the most games at DH with 61. He would be sent to Detroit for Cecil Fielder at the trade deadline, who DH’d in 43 games the second half of the season.

5. Dwight Gooden went 11-7, while David Cone was 7-2.

6. The Yankees defeated Texas in the Division Series, three games to one.

7. David Cone started game two of the League Championship Series against Baltimore. It was the only game the Yankees lost in that series. Jeff Nelson got tagged with the loss.

8. Cecil Fielder hit .391 in the World Series, leading the Yankees.

9. John Wetteland appeared in five out of six Series games, and saved all four Yankee wins.

10. Bernie Williams was the only other Yankee besides Jim Leyritz to hit a home run in the ’96 World Series.

    Damn I got my ass handed to me. I only was able to get 6 answers. Although I misread one and thought you meant who got the win for Baltimore and I think it was David Wells.
