Week 10 Pickups


Tyler Thigpen (Chiefs) – It was the second consecutive week Thigpen threw for at least 1 TD and did not turn the ball over. Against the Bucs last week he also caught a 37-yard pass and ran six times for 22 yards.
Sage Rosenfels (Texans) – Starter Matt Schaub suffered an injury before the first half against the Vikings last week and did not return. Rosenfels filled in nicely completing 21-of-29 passes for 224 yards and two TDs. Schaub could miss this week’s game against the Ravens with a knee sprain.
Honorable mention: Brady Quinn (Browns)
Ray Rice (Ravens) – Rice set career highs in carries (21) and yards (154) against the Browns in Week 9. The rookie showed his game breaking potential with a 60-yard …

Week 1 NBA pickups



Ramon Sessions (Bucks) – Sessions did a formidable job filling in for injured starting PG Luke Ridnour. He averaged 15 points and dished out 8.5 assists in two games as the starting point guard. He played 42 minutes against the Knicks on Sunday and scored 18 points, grabbed eight boards, dished out seven dimes and had three steals. 

Mario Chalmers (Heat) – Chalmers played at least 35 minutes as the starting point guard in two of his three games last week. The rookie had eight assists twice and made at least one three in each of his games. In his first career game the former Jayhawk had 17 points, seven rebounds and eight assists against the Knicks.

Nick Young (Wizards) – Young had a strong game against the Pistons in his last outing scoring 23 points. He was 11-of-11 from the foul line. The former Trojan could be a useful source of points, threes and steals as a key bench player for the Wiz.
