Jets Rumors & News

As in, “if you don’t stop talking trash I’m going to give you an ass whuppin!”

The Jets blew out a team that they were supposed to beat.  Finally. A blowout.  Big Time.

The Rams looked God-awful sure, but the Jets were unstoppable all over the football field.  Our defense is less Gang Green and more like a military road block in Iraq.  As good as our offense was (Thomas Jones is a human bowling ball) I think it was our defense that led to such a gaudy score.  47 to 3.  I really think the Jet’s d scared the Rams so badly that at times they were doing their best to just get off the field as quickly as possible.  Steven Jackson’s absence left the Rams in a practically hopeless situation.  They were going to have to throw the ball against a defense that knew what was coming.  So we blitzed, and intercepted, and stripped the Rams into submission.  It seemed like the Jets spent all of …

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly: Giants vs. Eagles

Giants Rumors & News

Another division game, another win. The Giants took care of business again. With their 36-31 victory, they remain undefeated against the NFC East (3-0), and stay atop the conference with an 8-1 record. They made some mistakes that kept Philadelphia closer than they should have been, but the Giants just keep on winning, no matter what way they do it.
The Good
The rushing game won this one for the Giants. No matter who was carrying the ball for the Jints, the Eagles couldn’t stop him. Brandon Jacobs ran over, through and around the Philly D. It usually took about six defenders to bring him down. He bulled his way for 126 yards on 22 carries, and made it into the end zone twice. Derrick Ward bounced off would-be tacklers for 53 yards. And Ahmad Bradshaw ran for 38 yards in the fourth quarter. Madison Hedgecock and the offensive …

Yankees Rumors & News

What do the Yankees do with Andy Pettitte? Do they re-sign him, do they let him walk? It’s a tough call if you’re Yankee management but given Andy’s track record, why not give him another chance?

Pettitte went 2-7 with an ERA north of 6.00 last season in his last 11 starts and he missed his last start of the season because of elbow soreness. So does he really deserve a chance to rebound from that horrid second half? He does, because he’s Andy Pettitte. What does that mean? It means that despite Pettitte being on the downside of his career the Yanks should give hima 1-year deal worth around 10 or 11 million because he was their big game pitcher for so many years. Yes I realize those days were a long time ago but a lefty who can win 12-15 games surely deserves a chance in the rotation, a rotation that are full of question marks.

Mike Mussina is almost certain to retire, maybe as early as …
