Oh, by the way, I celebrated these moves yesterday like it was my birthday. I threw up a bit in my mouth when I heard some of the radio talk shows taking calls from angry fans who thought the Knicks were breaking up a good thing here and now they're going to turn of the Knicks. Excuse me? This team not only won 23 games last season, but just 23 two seasons prior! You didn't turn off the tv then, but you will now? Please, just turn off sports altogether, you make the rest of us sound like idiots! Even Brandon Tierney, who I don't really like any way, had me pulling out my hair on the drive home last night. He thought maybe they could've gotten more. More?? A week before the season started, the Clippers were asking that the Knicks give them a draft pick just to take Zach off our hands. The season couldn't have played out any better. The Knicks were handed a very soft schedule, they capitalized on it for the most part, and Walsh struck while the iron was hot and before the team could plummet below .500. Hell, not only did he dump salary and acquire expiring deals, he made the team BIGGER, more athletic, and pick up players tailor-made for the D'Antoni offense. I mean, if you're not jazzed about this, there's something wrong with you. Long live Donnie Walsh.

Ahem. The Mets haven't made the postseason in two years. The Yankees haven't made it out of the first round in four years and missed the playoffs altogether this past season. The RANGERS have made the playoffs in each of the past 3 seasons since the NHL lockout, advanced to the Conference semi-finals the last two seasons, and are currently tied for the best record in the East and 2nd best in the league overall. So yes, it'd be neat to have championship contenders in football, basketball, and hockey. I'll get back to you on that baseball thing... Eat it, Frank! :-)
