I always believed on a sub-concious level that we as Americans loved football because it was basically about the acquisition of rel-estate.Think for a moment, whoever gains the most real-estate(yards) scores the most points(traditionally) and wins.Un-fortunatley Baseball more so then any other sport exemplifies the American stigma of greed and winning at all costs.Knowingly sinning or committing fraud and then confessing and then its all ok.Maybe some day the consumer will get wind of this, stop paying for exorbitant tickets and food and just not going to see the American past-time until it cleans itself up...Dont let cheaters be rewarded.Oh wait i got tickets for the new yankee stadium, you want to go? What are YOU going to do?

Alex is a competitor by nature. He knew a lot of people were taking steroids and he was afraid that he would fall behind from the level of "elite players" if he didn't take them. I really believe that.
What I don't believe is that he didn't know what he was taking...that's total horse crap. He knew exactly what he was taking. He just doesn't want to be the guy to spill the beans on the whole steroid thing like Canseco is so willing to.
His argument that he has been clean doesn't exactly hold water tho. It's kind of random that he admitted to using for three consecutive years; I'm still kinda on the fence about that. But, anyway say he really hasn't taken anything since 03'. Regardless, he's still reaping the benefits of cheating because he has obviously maintained the muscle he gained by taking PEDs...What a mess.
