Here are the answers to yesterday’s quiz.
1. Earl Monroe briefly wore #33 in 1972.
2. The highest number ever worn by a Knick is 55, which was worn by Louis Orr, Bernard King, Kiki Vandeweghe and Dikembe Mutombo.
3. Numbers 27 and 29 have never been worn by a Knick.
4. Henry Bibby wore #17 from 1973 to 1975 and is the last Knick to wear that number.
5. Cazzie Russell was the first Knick to wear #33, from 1969 to 1971.
6. The Knicks have retired seven numbers (eight if you count the 613 banner that hangs for Red Holzman): 10 (Walt Frazier), 12 (Dick Barnett), 15 (Earl Monroe), 19 (Willis Reed), 22 (Dave DeBusschere), 24 (Bill Bradley) and 33 (Patrick Ewing).
7. Mike Sweetney was the last Knick to wear #50 before Zach Randolph.
8. Len Chappell (1964-66) was the only other Knick to wear #24 besides Bill Bradley.
9. Phil Jackson wore #18 in his years playing for the Knicks.
10. Mark Jackson wore #13 for six-and-a-half seasons.
