Well if Jose Veras and Edwar Ramirez can't make the Yankees, they must be stacked.

Peter Gammons, who gets in every single chance he can to bash the Yankees, even wrote today:

"They also seem encouraged that they can keep Chamberlain in the rotation because of the arms in front of Mariano Rivera -- Phil Coke, Brian Bruney, Damaso Marte, et al."

Jose Veras and Edwar Ramirez, both had good years as the setup men last season, might not even make the team this year because there are so many relievers.

The Yankees have weaknesses, but I don't think it means that someone not familiar with their bullpen should really be writing articles about it.

This exchange reminds me a bit of when every Yankee fan I knew was telling me how great Melky Cabrera is. Now the Yanks are so stacked in the pen, they don't even need Joba Chamberlain? Wow, that's a formidable bullpen indeed. The rest of baseball doesn't have a prayer, since plainly the Yankees have no weakness.

The way you blow off the rest of the guys in the bullpen makes me not want to listen to you. Those guys you named all had good seasons in 2008 and there is no reason to expect that 3 of those 4 can't have solid 2009 seasons. On top of that I wonder if you have ever heard of Mark Melancon. There is also David Robertson, Michael Dunn, Phil Coke and Humberto Sanchez to consider.

The Yankees don't even need Joba in the bullpen. It's over crowded as it is.

I disagree with you if he can remain healthy and avoid tendonitis. Haven't you ever heard of Mark Melancon?
