Here are some feasible and some ridiculous ideas for the Knicks to consider. It’s already known that Eddy Curry and Jared Jeffries have player options for the 2010/11 seasons, and most likely, since no other teams will pay them what our amazing Knicks pay them, they will take these options and literally screw the Knicks into possible century-long shittyness. Here’s some moves the ‘Bockers can attempt.
1. Eddy Curry and Larry Hughes(NY) <——> Tracy McGrady(HOU)
The salaries match up perfectly. Hughes can score and can play some decent defense, and the Rockets seem to have differences with Mr. Mac. With Yao out for an extended period of time, the new, slim Eddy(He lost 50 pounds) could actually be useful somewhere other than closing time at China Buffet.
2. Jared Jeffries(NY) <—–> Mike James(WASH)
James is the odd, old man out now that Washington has healthy Gilbert and Randy Foye. They can use some depth in the 3/4 spot, and the Knicks happen to have a clusterf*ck since we drafted Hill and Galinari in back to back drafts.
3. Eddy Curry (NY)<——–> STeve Blake and Darius Miles(POR)
Portland has expressed interest in bringing in another big body, especially with Greg Oden hurt 11 months out of the year. Blake provides depth at PG and3pt shooting. Miles provides a 9 million dollar contract to level things out.
4. Jared Jeffries (NY) <——–> Speedy Claxton (GSW)
With Stephen Curry and Monta Ellis, there’s just no playing time for Speedy. Plus he’s a NY guy.
5. Jared Jeffries (NY) <—-> Tony Battie (NJ)
Same expiring contract scenario. Battie won’t play much in NJ behind Lopez, Boone, and Sean Williams. Knicks could use his defense and wisdom.
What do you guys think.
